Meet Mosia Challenger, The Botanique Fashion Designer

Mosia Challenger is a gifted creative designer who was born with a needle and thread in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other. She is a God-fearing wife, mother, entrepreneur and professional civil servant.

She was given her first sewing machine by her dad at the tender age of four and her mom taught her all she knew about sewing. This investment at such an early age has allowed her passion for fashion design to flourish and expand. Her love for experimenting has allowed her the courage to create a wide variety of collections. Wedding gowns, evening wear, infant wear, accessories, printed-products, and craft collectibles such as the Botanique Empowerment Doll are just a few of Mosia’s creations to date.

Her creations are unique and out of the box. She enjoys merging concepts such as graphic design and fashion. She believes that God-given gifts should be shared and have used her small business McKayesha Collectionz as a platform to share her gifts with others including the women and girls in the Botanique community.

The masterful handicraft of wild tamarind and jumbie bead seedwork was a dying art, with only five women left in the world to create it until Botanique Studios.

Botanique is putting Antiguan and Barbudan seedwork, a tradition whose African origins have outlived and transcended its challenging past,

on a global stage of excellence, imbued with a message that is undeniably as beautiful, empowering, and profound as the craft itself.
